"Death and Taxes are unavoidable" yet humankind is endlessly tortured by these two words throughout their life on Planet earth.
I have made an album of "Graveyards" of various faiths taken on my visit to the historical port of Melaka in Malaysia in 2007. Melaka is one of the most compact and beautiful historical ports that i have visited on my tours and since our entire "FAMILY EARNINGS AND INCOME" was initially from the "SHIPPING INDUSTRY" i decided that the "Portugueese flagship replica , "Flor-De-La-Mar" should be the mascot of this album.
We Indian catholics are basically converts centuries ago due to Portugueese evangalism and the name "Furtado" is a common Potugueese name.
History and different cultures excites me,hence my "world tours" and its depiction through my "Websites" and "Blogs". Hope the viewers can trace their own roots through my projection of the colonisation and independence of various country's during my travels including Malaysia, a Muslim majority country which has a large ethnic Tamilian Indian descent population. In fact during "Diwali" i felt like in India in the port of Penang (Malaysia) and had dinner on "Bananna Leaves", something i last remember during common weddings in my parents ancestral village of Barkur and Mabukula in Udipi Taluka(Karnataka,India). India is a Country that has the world's largest number of languages, Climatic conditions and religions, something that baffles first time tourists and also the secret of its charm.
